Hey Everyone!
I know it has been a LOOOONNNGGG time since I sent the last newsletter - I think the last one went out in late April (yikes!). So sorry for the absence! But, not only did I start working full-time again, I also ended up having to get tendon repair surgery over the summer (it involves a kitchen mishap and a Martha Stewart recipe that ended up with me in urgent care and then surgery lol - long story, but maybe I’ll tell y’all another time haha). Anywhoo, I am fine now (well besides the cost of surgery/physical therapy lol) - but no, I really am fine now. Also, I have exciting news to share, I also worked on my first network television show as a screenwriter where I got my first “official’ writers credit (eek!!). Also, an older lady at my church taught me how to knit back in May, I never knew I could be so obsessed with a craft:
It has just been a very busy time for me. But, I do not want us to go this long without being in touch ever again. So, I created a discord, so that we can have more constant, one-on-one communication and I can share resources/opps/etc. on there. And, y’all can let me know who you want to see interviewed next and get to know one another. The discord group is completely free and I am going to try to post at least a few times a week. There are only a few channels on there now, but as more people join the more channels will be added on. You can join the Sisterhood Cinema Discord Group by clicking this link: https://discord.gg/GtqezeQq
Also, I love sharing bible verses, and wanted to share this one: He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it. | Proverbs 11:26 - God loves those who set fair prices, especially when the poor and needy are involved. If you have a business where you sell something and/or have employees, be sure that your prices are reasonable (within the industry standard) and equitable (fair and impartial). Even if you are buying or wanting to negotiate a salary, God said to pay a fair price without bargaining (Pr 20:14) and to be content with your pay (Luke 3:14). It is wrong to make a gain at the expense of others, so always try to be fair when money is involved. :)
