HOT TOPIC: The Worry Years...
“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Luke 12:25

This week @ SC we are focusing on the idle-value that “career worrying” cultivates and ushers into our lives - aka it’s a waste of time. Undeniably, it’s NOT an easy task nor is it an easy time to simply “not worry” but this tweet from Jasmyn Lawson (Strong Black Lead) brought us back into remembrance of why worrying is wasteful:

Now, whether or not you agree with that statement is another discussion for another day - but honestly, what has happened has happened and what will be will be (#ItIsWhatItIs), so what can worrying do for either you or me? The answer is and will always be: nothing. This is certainly not a “ignore your problems” message or worse, an unhealthy suggestion to force yourself to be new-agey and faux hyper-positive all the time (please don’t). But just a delicate nudge to remind you of what God has already spoken: worrying adds nothing to your life. So… why worry?
